DS: Do you ever say to yourselves, well how
about Desperate Husbands?
SC: Always, constantly!
DS: How many are married? SC raised his hand.
DS: How many have children SC raised his hand.
DS: Has the show taught anything you about the
woman in your life?
SC: You know, I think that Rex, my character, there is you know, a
lot of guilt, anger, self loathing and what does he do? He
projects it all on Bree. 'Is your fault, is your fault'. and when
you start sort of taking that on, you can see how you do it as well.
At one time Denton leans 'lovingly' on Chavira's shoulder. SC quickly
says: "Don't give the plot away". All the guys laughed.
SC: "First time we saw the pilot and my wife was watching you know,
Lynette and her kids, she just lost it, she was cracking
up.
We have 3 year old twins and it totally changes your life and you
know we love our families, and we love our kids. But you
know, there are those days when you are like 'ok, if I just get in
the car and start driving maybe nobody will find me. You know
what I mean? Where did my life go? And we like the fact that this
show kind of admits it, cops up to that, because I think its
universal."
DS: What have you learn about women and sex?
SC: They love it. (everyone laughs)
Metcalf: .... be willing to compromise
SC: and communicate
Chavira: ...and she will always be right
SC: Yes, yes, don't forget that.
