"If you feel like you've seen his face a lot lately, you are right.
Steven Culp is everywhere. Last season alone, the 48 year old
character actor appeared on "The West Wing" (as House Speaker Jeff
Haffley), JAG (as Special Agent Clayton Webb), Star Trek: Enterprise
(as Major Hayes)and ER (as Dr. Corday's love interest, Dave). And Culp
may have also pulled off a TV first by dying on two of these series in
the same week (Enterprise and JAG).
So why isnt he a household name yet? "I think it was Walter Matthau, who
once said: 'To be successful in show business, all you need are 50 good
breaks" jokes Culp. "I think I've had a few".
But he is getting there. "I was in Hawaii in the airport and someone
said, 'You're the JAG guy'. And then somone else would go 'I love you on
the West Wing'. And another guy would say 'Where have I seen you? Are you
an actor? oh, ER?!"
