August 2002
"Dear fans, August already! Thanks so much for the latest installment of the TS newsletter, and for extra comments regarding the Afghanistan epiosdes. I always enjoy hearing what the fans are saying. I have spent most of the summer being a dad. With twins, as you can imagine, it's a full time job for both parents. They (and we) appreciated the beanie babies. Thanks also for the Father's Day cards. You are all so nice to us! I have been working on a new ABC series called "Push, Nevada". I'll be doing at least three episodes, I'm in the middle of the second one right now. No JAG episodes in the inmediate future-or if there are, I haven't heard about them- but I'm sure Webb will be returning at some point. "The Palace Thief" has been renamed "The Emperor's Club", and the opening, as of this writing, has been pushed back to Thanksgiving weekend. It's also going to be at the Toronto Film Festival in September. These are all good signs that the studio is giving it the big "prestige" push. We'll see... Both my agent and manager have seen screenings of it, and they both reacted very enthusiastically. My manager who is usually cautious and not given to being effusive, was over the moon about it. So that is a good sign, too. (I haven't seen it yet-I always seem to be working on the days of hte screenings) I'm not sure where I'll be the weekend of the FanFest, but will try to attend if it's possible. My best to all the fans. Sincerely, Steven Culp.
