Letter from Mr. Culp to the fans

December 2002
"Dear Fans, First the good news. If all goes according to plan, I will be shooting four episodes of JAG in February, they will be the last four episodes of the season. (We're shooting early to accomodate Catherine's pregnancy.) I can't tell you anything more about the storyline, but from what I've heard it sounds terrific. Now, the bad news. I have learned that at least forty minutes has been cut from "Star Trek" Nemesis." The original cut came in at over two and a half hours and the filmakers have been working to get it down to under two hours. As a result the character of Martin Madden (my character) is on the cutting room floor, along with many other scenes and characters. There's a possibility that he could show up somewhere on the DVD, but it's just a possibility. Too bad-my wife was really looking forward to seeing me in the Star Trek uniform! You will get to see me in an upcoming episode of "24". I don't know when it will air, but it takes place from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Hope you all enjoy "The Emperor's Club" Best wishes to you all, and have a wonderful holiday season! Sincerely, Steven Culp"
