Letter to the fans.
January 2005.
Dear Friends,
Happy new Year to you all. I just want to thank you for the wonderful birthday
gifts you sent me in December. I've heard great things about Will in the World.
I've been dipping into different sections of it, and can't wait to get the chance
to sit down and read it cover to cover. The guitar book is also terrific and
it is a big hit with my son, too. At this point it looks like he will become
either a musician or a garbage man. Or perhaps a singing garbage man.
Who knew that DH would become such a hit? Every week we expect the ratings to
settle down to a normal level, but they just keep getting better and better. I
hope you all are enjoying it. I know that Rex is a bit off the beaten track from
what you're used to seeing me, but for my part, I find him a complex, interesting
and amusing character. If you would like to see more of him, write the producers
and let them know.
ABC has given me permission to do another episode of The West Wing, which I am
filming this week. It is currently scheduled to air March 9. It's always a
pleasure to return to that set. I am so fortunate to be able to work on two
such very good, and very different shows.
Thank you all so much for your continued support. I wish you all a happy, healthy
and prosperous 2005.
All the best to you
Steven Culp
