Character: Brad Manning
Episode: "Hubris"
Steven portrays Brad Manning, the best friend
attorney Jack (Rob Lowe). Steven's character
is accused of major securities exchange
violations and embezzlement. He asks his friend
to beleive in him and to defend him. Meanwhile
Jack is stonewalled by his Brad's wealthy in-laws.
Without telling his friend, Brad disappears and
becomes a fugitive. He later returns with evidence
he thinks will help his case. Towards the end of
the episode we find out that Brad's father-in-law
set him up and is responsible for him ending up in
jail. Jack gets a deal with the prosecutor and
convinces Brad to testify against his father-in-law.
